Born to Chon Garcia and Carol Garcia (Dominguez) on August 3, 1929, Jose was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend, and a very hard worker. Jose was blessed to have met and married the love of his life Isabel Garcia early in life. The two married on July 10th, 1948, with this past July celebrating 69 years of wedding bliss.

Pallbearers for Jose were Omar Garcia, Christopher Garcia, Billy Garcia, Daniel Huoy, Scott Huoy, and Joe Garcia.
Jose worked during his younger life on local Jeff Davis County Ranches. Jose wanted to offer his family more, so he moved his family into Fort Davis, an accepted a custodial job with Fort Davis I.S.D, in which he worked his way up to head custodian and served the students, facility, and staff of Fort Davis I.S.D for 27 years. Jose was still active as a hunting guide for local ranches. For over 20 years, Jose served as camp cook for the Camp Meetings held annually in Jeff Davis County, as well as was head of maintenance for Fort Davis First Baptist Church.
He enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife Isabel, until her death in September, they would enjoy spending time together underneath their pecan tree in their yard. Jose was an avid horseman, and enjoyed his walks for the courthouse to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, and the Houston Texans play football.
