I served in the Army.

Samuel Jose Jimenez, 84, of Marfa, Texas , passed away on February 6th, 2018, peacefully at home. Viewing and rosary was held Friday, February 9th for immediate family.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 17th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Pastor John Paul Madanu will be officiating.

Burial will follow the funeral at Merced Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Alpine Memorial Funeral Home.
Samuel was born in Marfa, Texas on October 5th, 1933. He graduated from Marfa High School and continued to attend Sul Ross State University.
Sam was married to Nelia Lujan on October 29th, 1960; they were married for 57 years.
Sam worked at Foxworth Galbraith Lumber Company for over 20 years then became self employed.
Sam is survived by his spouse, Nelia, daughter Elizabeth(Victor) son, Samuel Jr.(RoseMary)and brother Oscar. He enjoyed his 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grand children as well as other family and friends.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Carolina Jimenez, sister, Natalia, brothers David and Glenn.
The family of Samuel Jose Jimenez wishes to thank Dr. Sanchez and staff, Agave staff, and the medical personnel that became close friends during his journey.
