Angelita Valenzuela

Angelita Valenzuela, 101, of Alpine, Texas, passed away on Aug. 6, 2022, at her home.

Praying of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Aug. 15, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine, with Mass of Christian Burial following. Burial will follow at Holy Angels Cemetery.

Mrs. Valenzuela was born in Alpine to Faustino Ramirez and Hilaria (Herrera) Ramirez on Oct. 10, 1920. She married Francisco Valenzuela. She graduated from Alpine High School. Mrs. Valenzuela worked for Sul Ross State University at the physical plant. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

Mrs. Valenzuela was preceded in death by her parents Faustino and Hilaria Ramirez; her husband Francisco Valenzuela; two brothers; and two sisters.

Mrs. Valenzuela is survived by daughters Lucila Valenzuela, Cecilia Valenzuela, and Bernice Lobely and husband Dr. Bruce Lobely; her sons Lazaro Valenzuela and Tomas Valenzuela; one sister, Olivia Ramos; her grandchildren Sara Olvera, Adelina Valenzuela, Shelly Valenzuela, Suzi Tanaka, and Mark Valenzuela; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services have been entrusted to Alpine Memorial Funeral Home.
