Antonio Salcido Rojo, 91, lifetime resident of Alpine, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Big Bend Regional Medical Center Hospital in Alpine.
Viewing will be held from 10 a.m to 3 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Geeslin Chapel on 209 West Sul Ross Ave., Alpine, Texas. Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Tuesday, December 10. Mass service will be at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Our Lady of Peace and Military graveside service will follow at the Holy Angels cemetery. Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rojo was born in Alpine, Texas on May 10, 1922. He was an Army veteran. He had worked as a paint formen at Sul Ross State University for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Loriza Miranda of Alpine, son, Mark Miranda and his wife Lindsay of Alpine, grandchildren, Angelina, Isaiah, Mateo, and Masiela Miranda. He is also survived by his sisters, Estefana Cano, Amelia Rojo, and Emilia Rojo of Alpine and Basilia Espinoza of Alamogordo, New Mexico.
