Charles Robert Freeman, 67, of Presidio, passed away at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos, Texas on Thursday, August 9, 2018.
A full Military Memorial service was held Thursday, August 16 at the Alpine Memorial Geeslin Chapel. Joe Greer Denham III was the Service Celebrant.
Mr. Freeman was born in Marysville, California on December 2, 1950 to Fred Arthur Freeman Jr. and LuAnne Spencer Freeman.
He was a self-employed mechanic. He was a man with a big heart. He loved his family and friends. He was a man that you could always count on for a helping hand. Charles loved being in the great outdoors.
He spent over 20 years in the Air Force, Army and Marines. He was a highly-decorated combat soldier. He faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War, Iraq and Panama Conflict. His life was all about serving others.
He is survived by his mother, LuAnne S. Freeman; his daughters, June F. (Robert) Anderson, Luanne F. (Braden) Carlton, and Amy Elizabeth Trower; his son, Somchat Freeman Davis; his sisters, June Rain (Jerry Dodd) and Patti (Allen) Bernhardt; and his brother, Fred A. Freeman, III. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Mary Blackman, Trae Trower, Hadyn Trower, Braden Thai Carlton, Aidan Anderson, Jordan Dantzler, and his significant other, Lupita Guangorena Ruiz.
