God opened His Arms and welcomed Charlotte as she entered the Pearly Gates of Heaven on Monday, September 16, 2013. She lived 95 years.
Born in Presidio, Texas, she had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, since 2004, coming from Marfa, Texas.
A Homemaker and Mother, she was a parishioner of Saint Bernadettes Catholic Church in Port Saint Lucie, and a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
She was the daughter of Manuel and Sabina Olivas Morales, and the sister the family matriarch of Betty Morales Montoya, Elena Morales Hernandez, Manuel Morales, Celestina Morales Dutchover, Frank Morales and Leo Morales.
Charlotte married Enrique Ontiveros and they had two children, Sylvia and Henry. They
were married 65 years. Henry married Lynn and they blessed them with four granddaughters, Jennifer, Jaime, Sylvia and Sabina and three greatgrandchildren, Kylee, Christian and Nicholas.
She was affectionately known as Tota to many. Although Charlotte only had two children, she was mother, grandmother, and much more to so many, including nineteen nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Marfa, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Enrique, her daughter Sylvia, her sisters Lola and Betty and her father and mother.
She lived the last ten years with her son and family in Florida, but her heart was always in Marfa.
Rosary service and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Marfa. Burial will follow at La Merced cemetery. Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
