Charlotte Burford Senneff, born November 23, 1934 in Accomac, Virginia, died January 6, 2017 in Odessa, Texas. She married Jim Senneff on August 6, 1960 in Ft. Meade, Maryland. They were both in the United States Army when they married. They have lived for the last 22 years in Alpine, Texas. Charlotte is survived by her loving husband Jim; their two sons and their families: James and Angela Senneff, Phillip (Cailynn) and Kyle, and John and Jo-Anne Senneff; and her brother, Travis Burford.
Charlotte was a born leader. She was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army and she was the President of the United Methodist Women for several years in Alpine. She served on the board of the First United Methodist Church in Alpine, as well as playing an integral role in the Sunshine House for many years. Charlotte was a member of the Big Bend Arts Council. She loved to paint and was the featured artist several times at the Gallery on the Square in Alpine. Charlotte also loved quilting and was President of the Busy Bee Quilters for several years. She loved making quilts for her sons and grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 208 E. Sul Ross Ave., Alpine, TX 79830 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
