Daniel Jurado

January 20, 1959 — June 17, 2017

Marfa, Texas - Daniel "Danny" Jurado, a loving, and generous father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend entered his heavenly rest on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 at The Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, Texas surrounded by his beloved family. Danny was 58.
Danny born on January 20, 1959 in Marfa, Texas, he was the third child born to Esteban Jurado and Paz Villanueva Jurado of Marfa. Danny graduated from Marfa High School, and went to work for AEP in which he worked as a service technician as well as having a wonderful career of 35 years with the company.
Danny was blessed to welcome the apple of his eye, his daughter Alexandra Joan Jurado into the world on December 1, 1994.
Rosary will be recited by Tia Guera at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated following Rosary with Father Rolando Fonseca serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow at El Merced Cemetery in Marfa.
Those honoring Danny by serving as pallbearers are: Richard Villanueva, Danny Rubio, Sammy Rubio, Raymond Ramirez, Patrick Pallarez, Diego Jurado, Jamie Cardenas, Travis Jurado, Neil Martinez, Jimmy Steve Martinez, and Albert Dominguez.
Those serving as honorary pallbearers also known as 'his children' are: Liliana Cardenas, Austin Milligan, Maverick Milligan, Layla Cartwright, Jett Cartwright, Charlize Martinez, Jade Martinez, Joaquin Jacinto Martinez, and Reyna Martinez.
Danny was a true blessing to his family, by always being there for them no matter what they needed. He loved to laugh, pray and he had a continued relationship with his former coworkers from AEP. He loved to enjoy a good meal, as well as being the "TIO" with the snack bag for his nieces and nephews at their games. Danny loved to cook food on his disc for family and friends, as well as help with local fundraisers for community members. Danny loved to ride his motorcycle, as common for a motorcycle lover, he owned a Harley Davidson. Danny loved to watch Disney movies with his daughter AJ and his nephew Diego, which was Danny's sidekick.
Those left to honor and cherish the joyful, and faithful life of Danny are: his daughter Alexandra Joan "AJ" Jurado of Amarillo, Texas; his parents Esteban and Paz Jurado of Marfa, Texas; his sisters: Delia Martinez, Virgie and Eddie Pallarez of Marfa, Texas, Rachel and Johnny Cardenas of El Paso, Texas, Irma Espinosa of Odessa, Texas; his brothers: Javier and Terry Jurado of Alpine, Texas, and David Jurado of Marfa, Texas; his beloved nephew Diego "Holmes" Jurado of Marfa, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and his many beloved friends.
