Ernesto Sanchez

Ernesto Flugie Sanchez, 63, lifetime resident of Alpine, passed away at Big Bend Regional Medical Center on Monday, November 11, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013. Military graveside service will follow at holy Angels cemetery. Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born in Alpine, Texas on March 5, 1950. He had worked as a baker for Sul Ross State University. He was an Army veteran.

Ernesto is survived by 2 daughters and 3 sons from Phoenix, Arizona, his sister, Celia Bruns of El Paso, brothers, Frank Sanchez of Odessa, Marin Sanchez of Eagle Pass, and Edward Sanchez of Monahans. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Reyes Sanchez and two brothers, Luis and Ruben Sanchez.
