French Byron Williams
Byron was born November 8th, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas where he grew up and attended school and raised a family. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Patricia Ann Winnett Williams, and by his five sons and their wives; Byron David and Robin, French Lane and Jutanah, Mark Own and Shirley, Matthew Nince and Mary, and Daniel Jay and Jerilyn. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Byron was a gun mechanic in the United States Army, In 1951, he was stationed at the 38th parallel between North and South Korea at "Ol'e Baldy" where the fiercest fighting took place during the Korean War. He was Honorably Discharged by the United States Army in 1956.
Byron was owner of Micro Mold Plastics, which produced plastic parts by high pressure injection molding. Some of his clients included: AT&T, General Dynamics, and Chrysler. After retirement he moved to Marathon. Texas in 1996 and lived out the rest of his life near his son Mark Owen and his family.
He died at the age of 87, December 7th, 2017 at Fort Stockton Nursing Home.
His hobbies included: gardening, snow skiing, painting, building homes, greenhouses and barns, boating, hunting, fishing, fishing, and more fishing. Everyone always loved his BBQ.
He was a quiet and peaceful man of few words, as well as a great listener. Willing to lend a helping hand to any task big or small. he was mechanically minded and fixed many engines and equipment. He was loved by all of his family and friends. We will dearly miss him.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Christian Fellowship on 804 E. Brown Avenue in Alpine, Texas. Military Graveside will follow at the Marathon Cemetery in Marathon, Texas. Alpine Memorial
