Jane Brewster

Jane was born on June 10, 1941 in McPherson, Kansas. Her parents were Francis Fry Wayland and Olena Abigail (Atkins) Wayland. The family moved to Staten Island, New York where Jane attended P.S. 15, Notre Dame Academy and then Curtis high school. After high school, Jane attended the University of Delaware for her first year of college. Jane then transferred to Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia where she graduated with a B.A. in history. Jane then went to Tucson, Arizona where she got her Masters degree in history at the university of Arizona. Jane then went to San Diego, California where she worked in the historical library at the Serra Museum. While working there, she met Elton J. (Jerry) Brewster. In 1965 they got married and soon moved to Rockwall, Texas. Their first son Garland Francis Brewster was born in Rockwall in January 1966. After about three years, they moved to Dallas, Texas. Their second son Morgan McCluer Brewster was born in Dallas in July 1972. Jane, Jerry and Morgan moved to Terlingua Ranch South of Alpine, Texas in 1997. Jane was active in Terlingua Ranch activities and had many friends there and in the surrounding area. Jane is survived by her husband, two sons, one grandson Cameron, One daughter-in-law Lori, Jane's brother David, his wife Ewa, numerous nephews, their families, many relatives of her mother's family, and many friends from both West Texas and the Dallas area.
