Jennibelle Denham

April 3, 1959 — June 11, 2022

Llano, Texas

Heaven gained an Angel early morning June 11th, 2022. Jennibelle Denham passed into Jesus’ loving arms. She was undoubtedly greeted by her mom and dad, Velma and Joe Denham. Oh, what a celebration there was on those golden streets by the pearly gates!!

Graveside services for Jennibelle will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Llano Cemetery with Reverend Stacey Nobles serving as funeral celebrant.

Jennibelle was born in Escondido, California on April 3, 1959. She was raised in Ramona, California and attended Ramona ISD. She was active in 4-H, ballet, gymnastics and was a past “Honored Queen” of Job’s Daughters (a masonic affiliated organization). Jennibelle received her Licensed Vocational Nurse certificate from Palomar Memorial Hospital. After passing the California state licensure test, she quickly decided she needed to further her education and became a Registered Nurse.

In September 1983, she moved to Llano, Texas with mom, dad and baby brother, Joe. Her nursing skills took her to Sheppard Memorial Hospital in Burnet, Llano Memorial Hospital, numerous home health and hospice agencies throughout the Hill Country, as well as private in-home care and most of the nursing homes from Mason, San Saba, Kingsland, and Llano. She taught at the LVN school at Llano Memorial, worked in the ER, OR, on the medical surgical hall, mother/baby, pediatrics and as a school nurse. Her career and skills were vast and widespread. She loved being there for her patients when they needed her the most, but her love of nursing paled in comparison to the love, adoration, and pride she had for her son, Matthew Denham. He was the apple of her eye. During his school years, she was by his side. She was the parent that made sure all of the kids had what they needed to succeed. She supported all of his activities and could be seen at all of the marching band performances and contests. She was instrumental in making or supplying their various uniforms/performance outfits. Jennibelle was an active member of the Lutie Watkins Memorial Methodist Church in her early Llano days. She participated in the Up Lift Emmaus Group, working on multiple walks and was the Lay Director of Walk #877, at Mt. Wesley, Kerrville Texas.

She then became active in the Llano Cowboy Church. Every Sunday she was at the front of the church taking blood pressures/temps/pulses. She was a member of the “Quilts of Valor”, an organization that makes personalized quilts for Veterans of the armed forces. She participated in making countless quilts and enjoyed presenting them to veterans during a small ceremony.  She also had an adventurous streak, and even took up riding motorcycles with the Christian Motorcyclists Association.

Those preceding Jennibelle in death are her parents Joe and Velma Denham, her sister-in-law Susan Denham and one nephew Jonathan Denham.

Jennibelle is survived by her son, Matthew Denham, wife Sarah, her grandchildren Mayleigh Lackey, Slayton Lackey and her first grandson Watson Denham that will be born this July; brother, Joe H. Denham, and his fiancé Donna Osbourne; brother Joe Greer Denham III; sisters Val Dean Dewhirst and Marrijane Steelman, husband Michael, also niece Sheryl Hallmark, husband Greg, as well as other relatives, multiple friends, and co-workers. Jennibelle had an infectious laugh and a twinkle in her eye. She loved sharing the Love of Jesus with all she came in contact with. We know she is watching over her loved ones with a huge “you betcha” smile…..
