Jesus Octavio Lara, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend, peacefully departed this world on his 72nd birthday, March 22, 2025, in El Paso, TX. Born on March 22, 1953, in Mexico, he dedicated his life to hard work and family, embodying the spirit of resilience and love.

Throughout his life, Jesus worked tirelessly in agriculture, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for those he loved. From a young age, he made the selfless decision to stop his education in order to support his family financially, showcasing his dedication and unwavering sense of responsibility.

Jesus had an extraordinary zest for life that shone through in his passion for music. He loved to sing and play the guitar, finding joy in composing various songs that he cherished deeply. His musical talent was not just a personal pursuit; it became a source of joy and connection within his family.

He was blessed with a loving family that surrounded him with warmth and support. Jesus found his soulmate in his wife, Elena Lara, the love of his life with whom he shared countless memories. Together, they navigated life's journey hand in hand, reinforcing their unwavering bond, which was evident to all who knew them. His children—Elena, Daniela, Roman, Julian, and Jesus Jr.—were his pride and joy, each one a reflection of his love, values, and the lessons he imparted. As a grandfather, he delighted in the company of his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always ready with a smile and a story to share.

A service to honor and celebrate Jesus' life was held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fort Davis, Texas on March 26, 2025. As family and friends came together to remember this wonderful soul, we found solace in the knowledge that his memory will live on, entwined within the hearts of all who loved him.
