John Edward Cordova, 39, of Alpine, passed away at his residence on Thursday, December 31, 2015
Viewing will be held from 1p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Geeslin Chapel.
Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow after Rosary Service. Gravesite service will be at the Holy Angels Cemetery.
Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
John was born in Alpine, Texas on May 6, 1976 to Roberto R. and Hortencia Cordova. He was an Aline High School graduate and had worked with the City of Alpine.
He is survived by his mother; Hortencia U. Cordova, sisters; Toni Lynn Loza and husband Thomas and sons Derek, Jason and Braden of The Woodlands, Tx, Sara Gwen Cash and husband Eric and daughter Isabella Grace of Alpine, Tx Rebecca Joy of Odessa, Tx, brother; Roberto A. Cordova and wife Rosalva and son Jose Daniel of Midland, Tx and special friends; Aubany and Shelby Gonzales, Jennifer Velez and Bella Lujan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto R. Cordova, daughter, Zoe Lawren Cordova, uncles, Alfredo R. Cordova, Rudy Rodriguez, grandparents; Juan and Mauricia Urquietta and Alfredo and Maria Cordova.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Marquez, Juan "Sleepy" Garcia, Anthony Marquez, Sr., Anthony Marquez, Jr., Tony Hernandez and Michael Portillo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Garza, Alfredo S. Cordova, Jerame Cobos, Jason Gonzales, Lupe Gonzales, Robert Polanco, Jr. and Frank Franco.
