Josie Madrid

Josie Madrid, 72, was called to be with the Lord on March 5, 2022. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on March 18, 1949, to Gabino and Juanita Bejaran.  She married Frank Madrid on May 9, 1968.  Josie was a devoted wife and mother.  She was very creative.  She loved to sew, bake, and garden. She made very beautiful blankets.  She had a beautiful personality and made everyone laugh.  She was very loving and caring.  She would brighten the room when she entered, making everyone feel at home! She knew the Lord and loved to sing hymns.

Viewing will be held at the family’s home in Odessa from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022.  Services will be held at Faith Community Church in Odessa, Texas at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Shelton on Friday, March 11, 2022 with interment to follow at Saragosa Cemetery in Saragosa, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents Gabino and Juanita Bejaran, sister Amparo Quintana, and brothers Benny and Geno Bejaran.

She is survived by her husband Frank Madrid; sons Louis Madrid and Frankie Madrid of San Angelo; daughters Debra (Manuel) Ramon and Delma (David) Madrid of Odessa; grandchildren Monica Madrid, Tambree Falcon, Tameron Ramon, Erin Madrid, Jordan Madrid, Jarrett Madrid, Julia Madrid, Mia Madrid, Tamriel Ramon, Jaqueline Madrid; 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sisters Pabla Alvidrez and Amalia Bejaran; brother Medejildo Bejaran; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Madrid, Tameron Ramon, Mia Madrid, Tamriel Ramon, Sonny Falcon, and Epifanio Amador.
