Leonardo Hernandez

Leonardo (Leo) Hernandez, Jr was born June 17, 1927 in Fort Davis. He passed away in his sleep July 18, 2021 in his home in Indianapolis, IN.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leonardo Hernandez, Sr.; his mother Virginia Hernandez; a brother Roberto Hernandez; and sister Lupe Tercero.

His surviving sisters are Virginia Lara from Carlsbad, NM, Esther Armstrong from San Diego, CA and Lena Fox from Kingman, AZ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many relatives who loved and called him friend.

Leo served in the US Navy during WWII and the merchant marines. He later settled in Indianapolis.

A celebration of his life will be held September 17 at Alpine Memorial Funeral Home. Viewing is at 9 am and services will follow at 9:30 am. His ashes will be taken to San Joseph Cemetery in Fort Davis where he will be interned at 10:45 am.
