Louisa Maldonado

Louisa S. Maldonado, died February 28, 2021 with family by her side at her home.

She was born September 26, 1928 in Sanderson, Texas. Her parents were Felipe and Maria Silvas. She married Lorenzo Maldonado in 1954. They were happily married for 65 years.

Mrs. Maldonado was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and gardening but most of all taking care of her family. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and liked watching college football on TV.

Louisa was a devoted member of the Saint James Catholic Church in Sanderson, Texas for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lorenzo, her parents Felipe and Maria Silvas, her sister Rita Zepeda, her brothers Felipe Jr. and Silvestre Silvas. Mrs. Maldonado is survived by her daughter Melinda Maldonado from Sanderson, Texas, a son Jaime Maldonado and wife Irma of Alpine, Texas,  two grandsons, Steven Maldonado of Alpine, Texas and A.J. Maldonado of McAllen, Texas, her sister Aurelia Reyna from San Antonio, Texas and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank Mary Cota and Butch Maldonado for their loving care while Louisa was ill.
