Manuela B. Granado, a beloved homemaker for her passion for cooking, gardening, raising chickens, passed away in Ft. Davis, Texas at the age of 88. Born in Ft. Davis on June 20, 1935, she touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
In her lifetime, Manuela lovingly nurtured her children and grandchildren, creating a home filled with love and laughter. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of strength and compassion that will be cherished forever.
Manuela is reunited in heaven with her husband Domingo Granado and her parents George and Angelita Bentley. She is also preceded in death by Eliseo Bentley, George Bentley Jr., Amelia Dutchover, Joe Bentley, Consuelo Leyva, her grandson Patrick Reagan James and her great-grandson Joseph Domingo Tarango.
She is survived by her son Rudy (Amalia) Granado of Elkhart, IN; daughters Mary "Tillie" (Joe) James of Fredricksburg, Texas; Elizabeth (Luis) Barba of Corpus Christi, Texas; Lorenza Herrera and Jessica Lynn Escobedo, both of Ft. Davis, Texas. Grandchildren are Bianca Granado Villari, Myra Granado, Dwain Adam Tarango, Jennifer Solis, Rachel Barba, Lisa Barba, Jeremiah John Salcido, Naathan John Salcido, Dustin Rene Brito, LauRese Angelica Gretchen, Brittany RaeAnne Escobedo, and Paityn Zoey Escobedo. Great-grandchildren are Mia Ann Granado, Dominic Granado, Jayden Granado, Tristan Xavier Tarango, Reagan Xander Tarango, Laci Marie Tarango, Solei Solis, Jacob Solis, Aaron Luis Barba, JonDavid Guartuche, Ysla Alexandra Salcido, Jonathon Leon Salcido, Alijah Jordan Brito, Riley Breeze Huffman, Presley Rain Huffman, Trinity JazLyn Escobedo, Zeppelin River Gretchen and Jessany RaeLynn Escobedo.
A Mass in honor of Manuela's life will be held on April 4, 2024, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Davis. Friends and family are invited to pay their final respects from 9:00 AM before the Mass begins at 10:00 AM. Pallbearers at the service will be Dustin Renee Brito, Brittany RaeAnne Escobedo, Jeremiah John Salcido, Naathan John Salcido,Tristan Xavier Tarango, Dwain Adam Tarango, Alijah Jordan Brito and Juan Andres Garcia.
Manuela B. Granado will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace as her memory lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
