Paula Fuentes

Paula Vasquez Fuentes, 94, passed away peacefully to join our Lord on August 12, 2019. She was born in Alpine, Texas on January 25, 1925, and was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Fuentes.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Maria Fuentes-Leas and husband, Dr. David E. Leas, of San Antonio, TX; son, Herman Fuentes and wife, Carol Morrow, of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Marge Sanchez of Alamogordo, NM; son, Fred Fuentes and wife Gloria Fuentes of Driftwood, TX, son, Simon Fuentes, Jr., and wife Eva Fuentes of Canyon Lake, TX; and son, George Fuentes and wife, JoAnn Fuentes of Longmont, CO.

She was known and loved as "Memo" to her 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Holy Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine. Interment to follow at Holy Angels Cemetery.
