Marfa - Pedro M. Parras, age 88, died on March 31, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving and carring family. Mr. Parras was born on August 2nd, 1928 in Ruidoso, Texas to Abelardo Parras and Antonia Morales Parras.
Rosary was recited on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 9:30 am and was followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary's Catholic Church with Father Esteban Sescon officiating, with burial followed at Merced Cemetery.
Honoring Mr. Parras by serving as pallbearers where: Richard Parras, Hector Parras, Carlos Parras, Franchesca Parras, Chon Prieto and John T. Salgado.
Mr. Parras retired after several years of working for Shot Point Service as a sysmographer. He loved to BBQ and rooting on the Dallas Cowboys. As well in his past time, Mr. Parras, enjoyed playing pool, watching old westerns that start John Wayne, Gun Smoke and Bonaza. Mr. Parras enjoyed listing to several types of music with his favorite being Marachi. He was a family man, enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. During Mr. Parras life, he enjoyed the game of pool. There would be many nights, that he would spend with family and friends plaing pool. He was a member of the Holy Name Society in Marfa as well. He loved to drink coffee in the mornings.
Those left to cherish and honor Mr. Parras memory and life is his wife: Consuelo Parras; his sons Pete M. Parras, Jr. and his wife Tina, Ignacio (Nacho) Parras and his wife Gracie, Manuel Parras and his wife Elodia and Hector Parras. His special friends Chon Prieto and Hohnny Razo; his four grandchildren Richard, Hector, Carlos and Franchesca as well as many nieces and nephews.
