Ramon Chavira Carrasco, of Fort Davis, Texas, passed away in Monahans, Texas on July 6th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family, Mr. Carrasco was 93.
Mr. Carrasco was born on October 6th, 1923 in Satevo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Feliz Ruiz Carrasco and Josefa Chavira Carrasco.
In 1973, Mr. Carrasco moved to Jeff Davis County in which he met and married the love of his life Irene Jimenez Carrasco on October 20th, 1973, they enjoyed 43 wonderful years together in Fort Davis. Mr. Carrasco worked for various ranches and cattle companies in the Jeff Davis area, including the Mc Coy Land and Cattle Company.
Rosary for Mr. Carrasco was recited on Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 by Father Hector Chicas with Mass of Christian Burial following rosary. Mr. Carrasco was laid to rest at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
Those honoring the life of Mr. Carrasco by serving as pallbearers were: Randy Vasquez, Bobby Jimenez, Elizardo Aranda, Joe Allen Jimenez, Mario Aranda, and Ismael Garcia.
Preceding Mr. Carrasco in death are his parents.
Lose left to honor and cherish the memory of Mr. Carrasco is his wife of 43 years Irene Jimenez Carrasco of Fort Davis; his nieces: Olga Granado and husband Fred of Fort Davis, and Alma Aranda of Sabattus, Maine; his nephews: Elizardo Aranda of Fort Davis, and Mario Aranda and wife Joni of Longmont, Colorado; his brother Socorro Carrasco of Presidio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Gloria Navarrete, and Olga and Fred Granado for the special and wonderful care given to Mr. Carrasco.
Lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to an ASPCA of your choice, the Jeff Davis County EMS or the Food Pantry of Jeff Davis.
