Richard Ethen

Richard Dean Ethen, known at friends as "Rick", passed away on May 23, 2018, at Big Bend Regional Hospital in Alpine, Texas. Rick was born on July 25, 1947, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Alfred A. Ethen and Sally Kossick.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Patricia and Sandra; and son, Alan Dean Ethen. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; brother, Alfred Ethen and wife Adrienne; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rick proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era and was known for wearing his many military themed caps. After the Navy, he worked in the construction industry in the Houston area and joined SNC-Lavalin in 1996, retiring in 2013.
