Thomas Leyva

Thomas Leyva, 34, of Alpine, Texas passed away from complications of chronic medical conditions on January 22, 2023. Thomas was born to Arturo Leyva and Naomi Natividad in Alpine, Texas on December 16, 1988. Thomas graduated from Alpine High School in 2007 and he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Sul Ross State University in 2015. He worked at Judy’s Bread and Breakfast for the last several years, a place he felt very comfortable and loved.

Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents Alfredo and Mary Leyva. He is survived by his Grandmother Naomi Wright Natividad, his parents Arturo Leyva and Naomi W. Natividad, brothers JD Leyva, David Leyva, Reuben Leyva, Raymond Leyva, nieces, nephews, many aunts and uncles, cousins as well as so many people in the community who loved Thomas.

Thomas Leyva’s funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine, Texas, Saturday January 28th. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM. Mass will begin at 10:30 AM with burial to follow at Holy Angels Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Thomas’s brotherly friends- Paul Pearce, Gabriel Navarrete, Javier Bustamante, Sammy Acosta, and his brothers JD & David Leyva.
