A devoted husband, Bill found endless joy and partnership in his life with Isabel Shackelford, whom he affectionately referred to as "old woman." Their bond was a testament to love's ability to flourish in simplicity, marked by shared laughter and deep affection for one another. His life was one richly woven with the threads of genuine companionship and heartfelt moments.

Bill's journey was characterized by steadfast commitment, exemplified through his years of dedicated service to the State of Texas until his retirement. Prior to this, he honored his country with pride as a member of the United States Army, embodying the spirit of duty and sacrifice.

A proud graduate of Marathon High School, Bill carried the versatile lessons of his education into the vibrant tapestry of his life. He was an unwavering enthusiast of the great outdoors, indulging in hunting and fishing, pursuits that allowed him to connect with nature and reflect on life's simple pleasures. His love for animals was profound, showcasing his compassionate spirit that endeared him to many.
